Smultron is a capable, inexpensive, and easy-to-use text editor, though it suffers a bit when you have multiple files open simultaneously. (There’s currently no iOS version of Smultron.) New in Smultron 4 is iCloud support, which lets you access the same Smultron documents on all your Macs and keeps document changes in sync. Having every document in a separate window is confusing, and, frankly, feels quite 20th-century. However every document sits in its own, separate, window-an approach that’s much messier than using tabs or a sidebar to group multiple documents in a single window, as you could do in Smultron 3.

You can also open documents by dropping them on this palette. This small, floating window shows all the documents currently open in Smultron, letting you switch between documents by clicking one. Other two was the frontend developer and backend developer.A useful feature is a Documents palette. I worked with three people, communicating almost exclusively with the CTO of the company that was a project manager on the Smultron side. The scope of the project was to gather all requirements for the project, analyse them to create the final scope, decide over the technology stack, develop the application, launch it and handle the maintenance of the working system.Īpplication was deployed on the development, stage and production environments, based on leading PHP framework, MySQL database using AWS infrastructure and later Azure Web Services. I was confident that they will be able to handle the task. We have worked with Smultron earlier and they has proven itself few times already. This is where I think Smultron is doing a really good job.Įverything is well done, no bigger bugs, and always been informing us if something might take a different turn or such. We had one project manager that has been my main contact, behind that there has been frontend developers, backend and testing. How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions? In the scope there was a fully functional and custom web shop, user accounts, case/inspo pages, payment, shipping, design elements to our design tool. Through API they have connected to our design program, Chili Publisher. They've been using Angular, Wordpress and PHP to build the web structure. They also gave us a lot of good information on the way which led to improvements.
